Shantanu the Chess Wizard

Shantanu.JPG

Last night we had another Barty at the Orange Monkey. Shantanu who is a classmate from my german courses invited me to play a game of chess because he saw the chess board by the bar. Little did I know that he has been playing since the age of 5. Not only has he been playing but he has take the time and effort to increase his knowledge of the game and to improve his game. Any way to make a long story short he won and Today we went after class to my new favorite place for breakfast to play some more games. I feel I can learn alot from losing to Shantanu. His stories and pointers during the game are very entertaining and informative. I look forward to our next game.

that's an image i like more. shantanu has a very interesting face. your story is about chess playing and you did a good job integrating the chess board in the foreground. that gives depth to the image. a norrower depth of field would have highlightend your main subject better.
i think there is too much space above his head. doesn't add to the picture and takes focus away. but as i said... cool image.
