Victoria and Orchard Beach

This past weekend Me Victoria, and Martin went for a walk at Orchard Beach.
It's a manmade beach in the northeastern end of the Bronx, it's on the Long Island Sound across from Long Island. I usually go there the most during the off season because come summertime its packed with many people, barbequeing, sunbathing, swimming, or on the boardwalk people watching, salsa dancing, basketball playing, volleyball playing or watching the live Latin Bands. I will ride bike through there from time to time during a summer but to go and spend a day there would be to wild and hectic. I spent many summers there doing all the things there is to do. I used to be like a Bronx reunion because it seemed you would always run into old friends and even family there.
So as you can see in the pictures Victoria is growing like a tree, very tall and beautiful. She loves walking through the nature trails or picking up interesting rocks and seashells off the beach when the tide goes out. We've been coming to Orchard beach for as long as I can remember. Besides Central Park I think it's one of her favorite places to visit when she is with me.
One of the good things about this area is that when you are there you forget that you are in the Bronx or even in NYC. Its very peaceful and relaxing.
This visit has been amazing and mostly its because I can see Victoria not only growing in size but also maturing and having an understanding of things. It's very exciting and also its a little emotional for me. To see my little girl turning into a little lady.
As usual I feel so close to Victoria. Even with the time we've spent apart from one another we have a deep understanding that I can not explain.
