Yo Vic, those color images are nice. I love the first one due to the ladies expression. And she doesn't seem to look right into the camera. The fact that you still see part of a head in the lower left corner adds to the image, the only thing that could have been improved is the head in the background, to the ladies right. That distracts a little even though it's out of focus.
Regarding black and white: Some fun shots there as well but you have to work on your bw conversion. They are pretty gray in gray. There needs to be more contrast and more light in parts of the images.

uhhh great photos!!! now I know where you were all evening :) Seriously, I love the colors in the color photos. very rich and nice. And everyone looks so happy. It was indeed a nice event. tnx for capturing it.
